There’s a lot of new content available for Microsoft partners (sales & presales team) on https://transform.microsoft.com/modernwork for Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop to ensure the sales team are able to serve customers with the best possible Microsoft Cloud solution or solutions to meet their needs.

Many customers with third-party VDI solutions, including Citrix Desktop as a Service (DaaS) and VMWare Horizon solutions, hosted on-premises might be looking for innovative, cost-effective ways to move to the cloud.

If a customer has an existing third-party VDI solution on-premises deployment, the expectations from the sales folks are that they understand customer requirements, use cases, and future needs.

  • Sometimes customers might be looking to simplify management of VDI and provide personalized, persistent desktop experiences to their employees. In this case, Windows 365 can be a great solution as it streams a personalized Windows experience with predictable, per-user per-month pricing.
  • Sometimes customers may have use cases where shared, multi-session usage is required, or customers require pay-per-use model for specific workloads. In this case, Azure Virtual Desktop is a great solution.
  • Sometimes customers may also have specific dependencies on third-party VDI solutions, like Citrix DaaS and VMware Horizon technologies, or may just want to migrate these workloads directly to Azure. In this case, microsoft third-party VDI partners and AMM partners can continue to offer cloud migration services to ensure customer success.
  • Many customers will have needs that can be covered by both Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop, deployed side by side.
